ABOUT
Alexis Paige Armes (b. 2003) is an emerging artist based in Northern Kentucky. Armes is a BFA candidate with an emphasis in spatial arts from Northern Kentucky University (2025 forthcoming). Beginning as a ceramicist, her work evolved into being primarily mixed media, surrealist sculpture that discusses women’s and feminist issues. Within her mixed media surrealist sculptures, she uses ceramic image transfers combined with unique textile materials to explore the real-life consequences of the virality of hypersexual personas in the media and how it connects to the history of an everyday woman’s place in society. Her work has been exhibited several times within Northern Kentucky University. Outside of her home university, her work was also exhibited and sold in the Cincinnati area with the ADC Fine Art Gallery.
